So that morning I told myself: let everyone else call your idea crazy... just keep going. Don’t even think about stopping until you get there, and don’t give much thought to where “there” is. Whatever comes, just don’t stop.
It’s hard to remember for you guys, but for me it’s like yesterday I was driving the packages to the post office myself, and hoping one day we could afford a forklift.
I think about architecture all the time – that's the problem. I've always been like that. I dream it sometimes.
There have to be reasons that you get up in the morning and you want to live. Why do you want to live? What's the point? What inspires you? What do you love about the future?
I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again.
Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me. Going to bed at night saying we've done something wonderful, that's what matters to me.
While growing up, my father used to print out inspirational quotes for my younger brother and I. It challenged us to think, to believe in ourselves. I kept those quotes, and they have become our brand manifestos.
A wise man once told me, "don't be comfortable in life, fly."
But what if I want to be comfortable while flying?
